Sierra Art Trails 2007 Call to Artists has begun!

 

Come join us for this special 5^th Anniversary Event!  Over the past five years Sierra Art Trails has grown to become the most anticipated art event in the Yosemite Foothills.  Applications will be mailed shortly to artists on our mailing list, and can also be downloaded from www.sierraarttrails.org Applications are also available at Stellar Gallery and Williams Gallery West in Oakhurst, and Shockley Designs in Mariposa.

SAT is seeking volunteers to work on a variety of tasks including event planning, catalog development and distribution, marketing and advertising, graphic design, docents, student mentors, and fundraising.  Volunteers make it happen! First Annual SAT Gala Fundraiser

Sierra Art Trails is proud to announce our 1^st Annual Fundraising Extravaganza on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the Golden Chain Theatre in Oakhurst. This gala event will include an exciting evening of avant-garde entertainment, delectable hors douvres, enticing drink, live art auction, and a silent auction. Sierra Art Trails Artist of the Month   

 

Stellar Gallery showcases one Sierra Art Trails artist each month.  

February’s artist of the month is Pastel Artist

 

 Anne McClure

Anne McClure paints a variety of subjects including Western and historical scenes, animals, nature, still life, and portraiture. Anne works in a realistic style, softened by a gestured freedom in the details of the work. Her works are colorful, expertly rendered, and confident in composition and form. Although working with pastels is her current passion, she is also an accomplished oil painter. Her extensive experience in art and design allows her to excel in any medium.

 

Anne is a signature member of the Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Alliance of California Artists. She has been published in “The Best of Pastel”, the “International Pastel Artist” and the “Pastel Journal”. Her work may also be seen in her home studio Gallery in Ahwahnee, California.

 

 Anne’s work will be on display @ Stellar Gallery starting Feb. 8^th.

She will be demonstrating on Sat., Feb. 10^th during “A Day With the Artist”.
