May 2006 - Art Trails moves to Stellar Gallery

We are proud to announce that  Stellar Gallery has been selected as the official Sierra Art Trails headquarters for 2006! Stellar Gallery opened for business in April 2005 at Oakhurst's Gallery Row, in the same location as the David Ashcraft Photography Gallery.  After five years curating the Ashcraft Gallery, David left the gallery business behind to pursue his own photography full time.  Stellar Gallery seeks to carry on the tradition established by Ashcraft of featuring the best in West Coast Fine Art Photography.  

Now Stellar Gallery is changing again.  While the gallery will continue to represent the work of many excellent fine art photographers, it will also focus its attention on rotating exhibits and special events, including the Sierra Art Trails 2006 Preview Exhibit. 

The Preview Exhibit is an important element of Sierra Art Trails, showcasing representative works by over 100 artists and artisans that take part in Sierra Art Trails each year.  Since its inception in 2003 the Preview Exhibit has been held at Williams Gallery West in Oakhurst, but now, as the event has grown, Stellar Gallery has been selected as the ideal location for the show.

Stellar Gallery will also display works by a featured Sierra Art Trails artist on a monthly basis.  In addition, the gallery will display works donated by Art Trails artists.  Proceeds from the sale of donated works go toward promoting and curating the event.  Between special exhibits, Stellar will continue to offer works by exceptional fine art Photographers including David Ashcraft, Heidi Vetter, Joseph Holmes, Jeff Grandy, Steve Dzerigian, William Neill, and others.
