What is Sierra Art Trails?

Sierra Art Trails is both an organization, and an event.  Sierra Art Trails is a California non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting working artists and artisans, and to benefiting our communities  by promoting cultural tourism in the region.

The organization presents an annual open studio tour in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties that draws thousands of visitors to the Sierra Foothills every year.   SAT also raises monies for student sponsorships, scholarships, public art, and other art related projects.

Sierra Art Trails 2010 is the eighth annual Yosemite Foothills Open Studio Tour focused on communities in Eastern Madera and  Mariposa Counties.

The event will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd and 3rd, 2010, from 10AM to 6 PM.  The show features the work of a wide range of artists and artisans on display in homes, studios, businesses, and galleries throughout the area.

Sierra Art Trails is your opportunity to meet some of our finest artists in their workspaces. Pack up your family and friends and come discover our distinctive mountain communities. Sierra Art Trails  is a yearly vacation event for many people.  It is an outstanding chance to visit the Yosemite area, enjoy the beauty of autumn, stay in comfortable lodgings, and eat at our many fine restaurants.

The communities and artists of Eastern Madera County and Mariposa County look forward to meeting you, and want to thank you for supporting the arts in our area! We hope you will enjoy the weekend as much as we do.
