Visitor Information

What will I see?

Sierra Art Trails showcases artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, and more!

During the Art Trails weekend, the artists are available to answer questions and demonstrate how they create their work. Visitor's will meet the artists in person, see live demonstrations of their craft, and will have a chance to purchase works directly from the people that create them!

You may enter a studio and find a watercolorist demonstrating a technique, watch a woodworker turning a bowl, or see a ceramic artist working with clay.  This is a chance to see more of an artist’s work than you would at a typical venue.

Shop for the holidays, purchase unique gifts, or acquire something special just for you. Giving the gift of art is a creative expression of the person who purchases it.  It is an opportunity to buy major pieces of art and also to purchase less expensive works.

You may even consider commissioning a piece of art. Discuss payment options with the artist, i.e., cash or check, deposits or payment in full. Most gallery locations also accept credit cards.

Be sure to check the catalog for lodging, restaurants and other businesses you may want to visit on your trip.
