What is Sierra Art Trails?

Sierra Art Trails is a California non-profit arts organization dedicated to supporting working artists and artisans, and to benefiting our communities by promoting cultural tourism in the area.

The organization presents an annual open studio tour in Eastern Madera and Mariposa Counties that draws thousands of visitors to the Sierra Foothills every year.   SAT also raises monies for student sponsorships, scholarships, public art, and other art related projects.

Sierra Art Trails 2010 is the eighth annual fine art open studio tour focused on communities in Eastern Madera and  Mariposa Counties. The show will take place Saturday and Sunday, October 2nd and 3rd, 2010 from 10AM to 6PM.  The show features the work of artists and artisans working in a wide range of media, on display in homes, studios, and galleries throughout the area.

Sierra Art Trails gives visitors the chance to see fine art and fine crafts in the making, and to get a first hand view of how artists live and work. The show features artists and artisans working in a wide range of media including painting, photography, jewelry, sculpture, fiber arts, woodcarving, ceramics, and more!
